My Brain in the Drain
I am thankful that I am writing this blog after about two weeks of my stay here, or it would have been filled with all kind of negativities that marked my first two weeks.
It is almost as if today I started living. Not completely though. After two whole weeks, today I stayed at home for the whole day instead of wandering around. Today I have done grocery and now I have food in my refrigerator.
I have not unpacked yet. I fish things from my suitcase wear them and then dump them in my closet. Tomorrow I will do laundry. I am beginning to have a control over my life now. (you might not figure how that correlates)
If you are wondering what I was doing for two weeks, well the simple answer is I was brooding. But actually there was a lot of other things to do, which I find pointless to detail now.
Bottomline is I was really in a bad shape a few days back, but now with internet at home and after being able to communicate with a few friends, I have finally stirred myself out of my over hyped depression and loneliness.
PS: America does not really not feel home (This is not the American double negative which is actually negative as in "I ain't doin nothing" meaning "I am doing nothing" but the Indian double negative which is actually positive, as in I meant in the above sentence that America feels like home.) People here are very normal, friendly and the best part they don't start judging you the moment they see you. And boy they work hard !
